汝州市向北9公里处的千年古刹风穴寺，是河南四大名寺之一。距风穴寺西北2公里处便是驰名中外的汝州怪坡。而由风穴寺东山向北是3公里处是有名的明清时期重修过的玉皇山风景区，登上玉皇极顶，极目远眺，向北是的巍巍中岳嵩山，向南是连绵起伏的玉皇山支脉，东是石榴嘴寨。假日之余远离小城的喧嚣，登上玉皇山顶，欣赏汝州优美的自然风光，放松自我，不失是一种很好的健康锻炼。
